Our Approach
We are five Master of Engineering students at UC Berkeley, all of whom has been under different types of stress, from coursework, to recruiting, to dealing with life in general, all of which have affected our well-being and performance. Motivated by the desire to help others who are also feeling low, we teamed up with UC Berkeley's Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, psychologists, and cognitive scientists to create a tool to help boost your well-being, along with many other complementary attributes including self-motivation, stress management, time management, and more. Once we gather your responses, we will validate our survey using Item Response Theory, then we will use machine learning methods to make targeted content recommendations that can help you get through tough times. The purpose is to give you a reliable assessment that you can use to improve your soft skills.
We started the development of this product during the initial phases of COVID-19 and saw this as an opportunity for you to assess your well-being during and after this intense moment in time. We believe in your innate abilities and want you to excel in anything you set your mind to.
